A message from Maureen Parker, Science Teacher and Robotics Program Advisor, Locke Middle School:
The Locke Monsters Robotics team had a great day on Saturday, February 22nd at the 2020 Southern New England Regional Championship in Framingham at the Walsh Middle School. In a field of 48 teams from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, team 8025B won one of the seven available spots to participate in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. The team won the Tournament Champion Award in an alliance with team 8878E from Monroe Connecticut in a hard fought final against teams 10102A and 10102Z from Burlington, MA.
So the Billerica Locke Monsters Robotics team has, once again, qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship! This will be our sixth consecutive trip to the Worlds! This is a testament to how hard the team has worked this year to compete at the highest level! We would love to have your support to make this trip to Kentucky a success! Thank you so much!
