The Hajjar Elementary School and Hajjar Parents Association would like to thank all the students who participated in the school’s annual talent show. It was a wonderful evening full of talented students and supportive families. We are so proud of our student’s amazing skills that were displayed tonight! The three acts from each age group with the highest score have been invited to participate in the town wide talent show in April. These acts are (in no particular order)
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade:
Anika Purayannur (K): Anika performed a lively and spirited solo dance to the song Sea Cruise!
The Black Family (K & 2): The Black family stunned the crowd with their magic act!
Lauren Femia (K): Lauren performed a well-choreographed and beautiful solo Irish Step Dance!
3rd – 5th Grade:
Charlotte Whitfield (5): Charlotte wowed the audience when she sang “You Belong with Me”!
Adrianna Churchill (3): Adrianna performed a jazzy and energetic dance to the song No Excuses! (Adrianna is not able to perform at the town wide show this year.)
Aine Deslaurier (3): Aine performed a wonderful and challenging Irish Reel dance!
Srushti Relekar (3). She did a Gujarati garba dance (folk dance) to Chogada Tara
The HPA would like to thank the judges Ed Giroux, Sandra Giroux, and Mark Efstratiou for taking time out of their busy schedules to help us with the talent show. We would also like to thank Carol Bertolucci for tallying the votes. Special thanks to our MC Andrew Deslaurier and student MCs Tanner Aurilio, Haylee Merrill, Charlotte Whitfield, Jordan Sweeney, and Madison Paskiewicz.
The HPA would also like to thank those behind the scenes who helped make the event a huge success. We would like to thank Justin Whitfield who handled the music and technology needed to run the event. We would also like to thank Principal Beth Devine and Assistant Principal Mary Alise Herrera for all their hard work at the school and their help with the event. We would also like to thank Taryn Gillis & Catherine Barbas from the Billerica Partners for Education for their guidance on running the talent show. A huge thanks to Amanda Whitfield for organizing and running the event!
Finally, we would like to thank all the students who worked so hard over the last few weeks on their acts. It was truly a wonderful show and all the children should be proud of themselves!
